For our client we are looking for a CAD Data and CGI specialist.
We are seeking a skilled CGI Specialist to join our team in a dynamic role focused on transforming raw CAD data into high-quality visualization data for use in various applications, including marketing, product reviews, and technical documentation. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, driven, and communicative, capable of ensuring that visualization assets are clean, realistic, and easily integrated into the broader product development and marketing efforts. This assignment is within a collaborative project environment, where a significant portion of the R&D team is based in China, so the ability to communicate effectively across cultures and time zones is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Preparation from CAD to Visualization:
Convert complex CAD data (primarily from Catia V5 and other CAD programs) into optimized visualization files, focusing on structure, accuracy, and efficiency.Apply knowledge of Deltagen (preferred) and VRED, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality rendering output for various applications.
2. Material Assignment and Data Cleaning:
Assign accurate and realistic materials to models based on specific requirements, creating lifelike textures that accurately represent materials, colors, and finishes.Perform data cleaning by eliminating redundancies, correcting geometry issues, and ensuring all assets meet the quality standards needed for CGI work.Manage a library of materials and textures, keeping it organized and readily accessible for future projects.
3. Image Creation for Different Use Cases:
Create high-quality, photorealistic images and, where necessary, animations for a range of use cases including marketing materials, internal reviews, virtual prototyping, and presentations.Work closely with project stakeholders to understand visual requirements, ensuring that final outputs align with design intent and functional goals.Produce multiple perspectives and variations of each model for specific visual contexts, such as web, print, or interactive media.
4. Data Packaging and Cross-Department Collaboration:
Prepare finalized visualization data packages in a format that can be easily shared and utilized by other departments, including marketing, engineering, and product management.Collaborate closely with departments across different time zones, ensuring that visualization data is communicated effectively and that project requirements are met.
5. Cross-Cultural and Remote Communication:
As most of the R&D team is located in China, establish clear communication channels to facilitate smooth collaboration across time zones.Ensure that project requirements are accurately captured, communicated, and executed upon, taking into consideration cultural nuances and preferences in communication style.
Education and Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Catia V5 and familiarity with other CAD programs.Strong expertise in Deltagen (preferred) and VRED for high-quality rendering, visualization, and virtual prototyping.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
A proactive, detail-oriented professional who takes ownership of tasks and can work independently in a hybrid setting.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to collaborate effectively across departments and geographies.Knowledge about client´s OAS System.
