Description Introduction RETTEW is seeking a CAD & Design Applications Administrator to support, maintain, and enhance Autodesk and Bentley design applications across the organization. Under the direction of the CAD & Design Applications Manager, this role provides technical leadership in the development of standards, workflows, and tools that strengthen project delivery and ensure consistency across teams. Work Environment Hybrid (Three Days In-Office) Location: Lancaster, PA or Mechanicsburg, PA Position Summary / What You’ll Do The CAD & Design Applications Administrator is responsible for advanced administration, support, and optimization of CAD/BIM platforms. Under the direction of the CAD & Design Applications Manager, this role guides standards development, resolves complex technical issues, improves workflows, and supports multi-platform project execution. Responsibilities / Day-to-Day • Administer and support Autodesk (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Vault/ACC) and Bentley (MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, ProjectWise) platforms. • Maintain CAD/BIM standards, templates, styles, layers/levels, and feature definitions. • Troubleshoot DREFs, XRefs, model references, coordinate systems, and interoperability challenges. • Provide advanced end-user support and deliver training on CAD/BIM tools and workflows. • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledgebase resources. • Support automation initiatives using LISP, VBA, Dynamo, or Python. • Ensure consistency, data integrity, and cross-platform alignment in project delivery. • Collaborate with project teams to integrate DOT and other external standards. • Contribute to modernization and process-improvement initiatives. Qualifications – Required • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field. • 7–12 years of AEC production drafting/design experience, including at least two years in a lead, standards, or support capacity. • Proven experience supporting Autodesk and Bentley platforms. • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Qualifications – Preferred • Autodesk/Bentley Certified Professional credentials or EIT. • Experience with automation or scripting tools (LISP, VBA, Dynamo, Python). • Background or interest in IT, BIM management, or data science. • Familiarity with visualization tools such as InfraWorks, Navisworks, Twinmotion, 3ds Max, or Blender.
