Description As a CAD/CAM Programmer, you will contribute to the development and optimization of our new CNC machining program. This role focuses on programming with Autodesk Fusion and using AI-assisted tools to enhance machining efficiency through Design for Manufacturability (DFM) checks, toolpath creation, and tabbing strategies for both 3+2 and 5-axis operations. You’ll play a key role in shaping our approach to CNC machining by combining strong CAD/CAM programming skills with curiosity and adaptability. What you’ll do Design and Manufacturing Optimization: Utilize Autodesk Fusion and AI-assisted tools to perform DFM checks, ensuring designs are optimized for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing. Tool Path Strategies: Develop and refine tool path strategies for 3+2 and 5-axis machining operations, focusing on precision, efficiency, and maximum throughput. Tabbing Strategies: Create effective tabbing strategies to secure parts during machining, ensuring accurate and safe production processes. Collaboration and Innovation: Work closely with our design and manufacturing teams to implement new ideas and improve existing processes, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Troubleshooting and Quality Control: Monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that all products meet our high-quality standards. What we're looking for Education and Background: Recent graduates from community colleges or trade schools with a strong foundation in CAD/CAM programming are encouraged to apply. We value fresh perspectives, modern approaches, and a willingness to learn and adapt. Technical Skills Proficiency in Autodesk Fusion and AI-assisted CAM tools. Understanding of DFM principles and their application in CNC machining. Experience with 3+2 and 5-axis machining operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
