Job Description Salary Range: $58,000 - $84,000 Position Summary The R&D Engineer is a key link to product realization. The R&D Engineer transforms customer needs into final products and processes through engineering design and analysis, prototyping, testing, and production development. Responsibilities Design new Quick Connectors and components Prepare engineering drawings and bills of material Conduct design reviews throughout the duration of the project Understand customer requirements for fit, function and product compatibility Perform, report, and present product/process validation tests Carry out engineering analysis for new and existing designs; including FEA, tolerance analysis, and stress analysis Calculate product performance and compatibility Assist with analysis and resolution of customer quality issues Define product and process specifications with respect to quality, design and performance Create and maintain project documentation throughout its full duration Provide product/process benchmark data Interact with departments throughout the company to ensure customer satisfaction; including marketing, sourcing, finance, sales, quality and production Provide engineering support to production and quality departments Aid in the development and evolution of department processes and standards Propose suggestions for product and process improvements Qualifications Preferred 1 or more years of proven professional experience in product and process development. Capable of handling demanding tasks, preferably in product / process development (APQP, DVP & R, FMEA). Skilled in spoken and written English. High degree of assertiveness and communication skills as well as resilience, flexibility and teamwork. Structured thinking and acting paired with systematic and analytical judgment as well as high personal initiative. Knowledge ISO / TS 16949 / IATF 16949 / ISO 14000 certification. User knowledge of 3D-CAD SolidWorks. User knowledge of MS-Office. Preferred 1 or more years of professional experience as a user of CAD.
