Description
SAIC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drafting Team Lead to manage and oversee the daily operations of a small team of drafters. The successful candidate will ensure all drawings adhere to ASME Y14.1 and applicable ASME standards while serving as a critical liaison between the drafting team, engineering staff, and customers. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills to support project objectives effectively. Key Responsibilities: Manage the daily tasking and priorities for a team of drafters. Review and verify drawings for compliance with ASME Y14.1 and other relevant ASME standards. Serve as the primary point of contact between SAIC engineering staff, project management, and the drafting team. Maintain regular communication with customers and provide timely status updates to both SAIC project management and customers. Develop accurate schedule estimation and deliverable timelines based on project requirements. Offer technical guidance and support to the drafting team as needed. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience. Will accept experience in lieu of a degree. Strong understanding of ASME Y14.1 and related ASME drafting standards. Excellent communication and organizational skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively. Technical Data Package (TDP) development. Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
