JOB TITLE: CAD DESIGN / ESTIMATOR (SHEET METAL – LANTEC)

Location: Rochdale
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum

Caval Recruitment are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our longstanding and well-established client based in Rochdale. This is a fantastic opportunity for a CAD design professional with an interest in sheet metal fabrication to join a forward-thinking and supportive business.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience or qualification in CAD design.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing processes is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence (required for customer visits).
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive and keen to learn – excellent training and progression opportunities provided.

This is a mixed position that combines CAD design work in the office with customer-facing responsibilities. Duties include:

• Producing accurate nesting designs for laser cutting using Lantec CAD/CAM software (training provided if required).
• Preparing and issuing customer quotations.
• Liaising directly with customers to discuss technical requirements.
• Attending occasional site visits with customers.
• Supporting the wider engineering team with accurate CAD design and project delivery.
