Job Title: CAD Designer Location: Warton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role. Salary: £47,683+ depending on experience What you’ll be doing: Develop and produce detailed CAD drawings and plans for facilities layouts, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural elements Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and facilities managers to translate concepts and requirements into accurate CAD designs Maintain and update existing CAD documentation to reflect changes and improvements Ensure all CAD work complies with company standards, industry regulations, and safety codes Assist in site surveys and gather data to support design activities Support project teams by providing timely and precise CAD deliverables Your skills and experiences: Essential Proven experience as a CAD Designer, preferably within facilities management, construction, or built environments using toolsets such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation or similar Strong understanding of building systems, architectural and engineering principles, workplace and building related regulations Detail-oriented with excellent technical drawing and documentation skills Desirable Experience with BIM (Building information Management/Modelling) – ISO 19650 Hold relevant technical qualifications or certifications in CAD design or drafting Experience in document management systems (DMS) & common data environments (CDE) such as Project Wise, Asite or similar platforms Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
