Description

Civil Science is seeking a qualified CAD Designer to join our St. George, Utah team. In this exciting role you will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project team members to design a variety of civil engineering projects. Project types include large-scale land development, infrastructure, transportation, and municipal utilities. The ideal candidate for this position is someone that excels in a fast-paced, self-directed environment. We are eager to help the selected candidate grow his or her career and foresee this position growing into a larger role within our firm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D; Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar.
  • 4+ years of CADD experience in civil engineering profession or equivalent experience in educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of design principles and engineering
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Eagerness to learn and evolve within a fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
  • Ability to set up and participate in activities, which may include squatting, bending, and lifting.

Responsibilities
  • Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on project specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure designs meet project requirements.
  • Prepare and review design plans, including layouts, drawings, and blueprints.

  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on design-related matters.
