Description
  • Review order documentation to develop new sheet metal designs for custom chillers
  • Research and source mechanical components for chiller systems
  • Design and maintain all schematic diagrams using CAD tools and PDM
  • Create new Bills of Material as well as maintain existing ones
  • Initiate and process Engineering Change Notices
  • Interact with other departments to resolve issues and implement suggested improvements
  • Comply with established key performance indicators
  • Positively contribute to the engineering process and develop alternatives that allow the company to deliver consistently high-quality products and solutions to our customers
  • Implement process improvements and standardization around product designs and platforms

REQUIRED SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in the use of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Proficiency in the use of 2D CAD software (Autocad 2-D preferred)
  • Experience with sheet metal design and fabrication techniques
  • Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in creating technical documentation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot design issues
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with manufacturing processes and design for manufacturing/assembly principles
  • Knowledge of mechanical components and systems (thermal management or HVAC applications preferred)
