POSITION OVERVIEW

Kiewit is looking for a CAD Designer to prepare fabrication drawings, quantity calculations, and 3D models for Machine Control applications. The role involves drafting plans, providing support for tooling and inspection, and collaboration with design partners and project teams. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to nuclear projects, including site mobilization and construction efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology or post-secondary education in a Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Architectural diploma program.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Drafting/Engineering Design role.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Suite (Inventor, Fusion, AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge and experience with piping systems, structural systems, and fabrication drafting.
  • Knowledge and experience in Pipeline/Heavy Civil construction and methodology.
  • Experience with fabrication/structural drawing detailing.
  • Ability to interpret field data and rough sketches in a fast pace setting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, specifically pertaining to completeness and accuracy of drawings.
  • Strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proven organizational skills to handle multiple deadlines and tasks within a high-pressure work environment.
  • Ability to work in Shop/Field conditions.
  • Self-motivated, ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities and work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Excellent safety and attendance record and previously demonstrated strong safety awareness.
  • Valid Driver’s License #LI-GH
