JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our expanding clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and plans using various CAD software. This role requires a strong understanding of construction and design principles, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and architects to bring concepts to life.

SKILLS

• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, ArchiCAD, and MicroStation.
• Strong understanding of construction principles and practices.
• Ability to create detailed schematics that meet client specifications.
• Excellent graphic design skills to enhance visual presentations of technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.

  Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm, Friday 7am to 12pm.
  This role is advertised through Polly Recruitment Services Ltd, on behalf of our Fenton based client, with the view to becoming a permanent contract after a successful 12 weeks for the right candidate.

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks.
• Create schematics and layouts for various construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and design teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Utilise SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, ArchiCAD, and MicroStation to enhance design presentations.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from stakeholders to ensure accuracy and functionality.
• Maintain organised records of all drafts, revisions, and project documentation for future reference.
• Assist in system design projects by integrating graphic design elements into technical drawings.
