A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAD ENGINEER:

As a CAD Engineer at Hexagon US Federal, you will play a key role in delivering and supporting mission-critical Public Safety solutions. Your work will include the installation, configuration, and testing of Hexagon Public Safety products and interfaces in both on-premises and cloud-hosted environments, supporting agencies such as Police, Fire, and EMS.
You may also travel to customer sites to provide hands-on support, whether maintaining existing Hexagon systems, troubleshooting technical issues, or leading the deployment of new solutions. Every day brings a mix of technical problem-solving, collaboration with teammates, and direct engagement with customers to ensure their systems run seamlessly in 24/7 operational environments.

WHAT WE ARE EXPECTING FROM YOU (I.E. THE QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE):

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent applicable experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE certification (preferred) or must be obtained with 6 months of hire date.
  • Must be able to travel as needed to customer sites.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing as it relates to conveying technical information internally and externally.
  • Ability to investigate problems or malfunctions and recommend solutions or corrective actions.
  • Shares knowledge and assists others in the completion of their tasks to support team goals.
  • Ability to keep abreast of changing software technology.
  • Ability to work directly with customers in solving hardware/software problems.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team with little supervision and guidance.
