My client, a specialist industrial door engineering company, is looking for a CAD Engineer to join their team to strengthen the engineering function of the company by providing robust technical support, guidance, project delivery and documentation across departments including Sales, Projects, Reactive, Manufacturing, and Quality
This role demands a practical understanding of machinery and compliance, a strong capability with CAD software, and a proactive approach to project management and technical problem-solving
THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CAD ENGINEER WILL INCLUDE
To abide by & promote health & safety, ensuring all approved policies & processes are followed
Computer Aided Design (2D & 3D CAD) capability to support the development of product within the company portfolio
Bespoke solutions to satisfy customer needs
Sales support, Integrating current product to customer site specific needs
Documentation of what good looks like
Assembly and SOP information
Engineering understanding
Calculations and excel work
Root cause analysis
Data analysis
Project management
Leasing with internal and external customers and suppliers to manage projects through from design to completion
Prioritise to meet deadlines
Responsible for organising and maintaining documentation and technical files
Compliance understanding and documentation generation
Researching, understanding technical documentation and constructing replies and instructions for best practices

PPM documentation and updating
Take ownership of and assist the factory with any machine builds that have had significant input from engineering
