CAD Specialist Job Description

Reports To:
Director AE Services
Job Overview:
The CAD Specialist is responsible for supporting wireless site plan designs and drafting needs, ensuring technical requirements of all site designs are fulfilled accurately and in accordance with instructions from A/E Manager, A/E Project Specialists, Project Managers, and Clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify drawings using site details provided by project managers
- Create drawings with extreme attention to detail, high quality, and efficiency
- Review and make initial corrections to own work before final check
- Ensure drawings and calculations comply with:
* Applicable standards
* Jurisdictional requirements
* Project Manager guidelines
* Client requirements
- Utilize internal and online research tools to obtain necessary information
- Communicate with project managers for information and clarification
- Coordinate with A&E Manager to meet production timelines
- Travel to various work sites and offices for data collection
- Operate Autodesk Autocad with high proficiency
- Maintain A/E project documentation in CPM Tracker
- Contribute to team efforts as requested
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Associate’s Degree in drafting or design
- 1-2 years of Autocad experience in business setting
- Preference for wireless and commercial project experience
Skills and Attributes:
- Knowledge of design techniques and technical plan production
- Experience/knowledge in:
* Civil construction
* Architectural design
* Structural engineering
* Electrical systems
- Self-motivated and adaptable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn and take instruction
- Ability to travel
- Valid state-issued driver’s license​​
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
