The Egis engineering division is now almost 200 people strong across four offices in Dublin, Castlebar, Cork and Limerick. Job Description Prepare detailed structural drawings for bridges and transportation infrastructure (e.g., bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related structures. Produce reinforcement detailing for concrete structures, including rebar layouts, bending schedules, and placement drawings. Develop steel detailing for bridge components such as girders, bracing, and connections. Interpret engineering calculations, specifications, and design sketches to create accurate construction drawings. Coordinate with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design intent is accurately reflected in drawings. Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. Use CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, or similar tools) to prepare and update drawings. Review and revise drawings based on engineer comments, design changes, and client feedback. Prepare general arrangement drawings, section details, and construction details for transportation structures. Maintain organized drawing documentation and version control throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in resolving detailing issues during design reviews and construction stages. Support project delivery by meeting deadlines and maintaining high drafting quality standards.
