Job Title: CAD Technician & Designer
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Location: Haywards Heath, Sussex

We are a soundproofed music studio design and build business dedicated to delivering innovative and practical solutions to our clients. We complete projects for musicians, music producers, sound engineers, podcasters and more, with a focus on producing soundproofed rooms with acoustic treatment to suit our clients’ requirements. Due to growth in our projects, we are seeking a talented CAD Technician & Designer to join our dynamic team.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Sketchup, Indesign and rendering software). Training to be provided to the right candidate.
  • Good understanding of design principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A keen interest in music is a must. A basic understand of acoustic principles is a bonus!
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As a CAD Technician & Designer, you will play a key role in producing accurate and high-quality technical drawings and designs for a variety of projects. You will work closely with the company directors/sales team to bring concepts to life, ensuring all work meets project specifications, deadlines, and industry standards. A love of music is a must. The role would suit a design graduate, architectural technician or someone with a high level CAD proficiency and good understanding of construction principles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create, modify, and update CAD drawings and designs.
  • Assist in developing innovative design solutions to meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with the design team to interpret briefs and technical requirements.
  • Assist with the company’s social media accounts, photographing projects both onsite and once completed.
  • Assist with new enquiries, dealing with clients over phone and email.
  • Assist with the maintenance and updating of the company website.
  • Assist in sound testing the studios post-completion (training provided)
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and client specifications.
