OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various software programs and be proficient in creating technical drawings and plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Associate’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, CAD Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CAD Technician, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar). Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive industry standards, materials, and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Create and Modify CAD Models: Develop 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for automotive components and assemblies using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar).
  • Drafting and Detailing: Produce detailed technical drawings, including dimensions, materials, and processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback into designs.
  • Documentation: Maintain organized records of all CAD files, drawings, and related documentation, ensuring version control and accessibility.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of CAD models and drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering and production teams regarding CAD-related issues and best practices.
  • Project Management: Assist in managing project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure on-time completion of design tasks.
