Job Description RESPEC seeks a part time CAD Technician in our Land Development sector, located in San Antonio, TX or Castroville, TX. The AutoCAD Technician is responsible for developing engineering design drawings for civil projects including site development improvements, grading, public works, local streets & roads, water/sewer/storm drain utilities, and drainage infrastructure. This position will work closely with Civil Project Engineers and Project Managers to ensure designs conform to applicable industry and quality standards, budgetary requirements, and internal and/or client CAD standards. Qualifications Associate of Applied Science degree in CAD (Computer-Aided Design and Drafting) OR Minimum 1 year AutoCAD Civil 3D design drafting experience Additional requirements include: Minimum 1 year relevant land development drafting experience in the following areas: Private-sector commercial, residential, and mixed-use land development Preparing civil construction and permitting plans Working within small to mid-sized design teams Knowledgeable of civil design standards Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel Preferred: Experience in private site development and public works projects, including street, drainage, and utility design (plan and profile), both as stand-alone assignments and within multidisciplinary teams Additional Information Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise.
