REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a CAD Technician, Draughtsperson, or Architectural Technician in a construction-related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD essential; 3D capability desirable).
  • Good understanding of construction detailing and materials.
  • Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

This is a fantastic opportunity for a design professional from a construction background to join a dynamic and collaborative team. You will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and design documentation for a wide variety of bespoke canopy and external structure projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings and models using AutoCAD (or equivalent).
  • Develop detailed fabrication and installation drawings for manufacturing and site teams.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to turn client requirements into buildable solutions.
  • Assist in the development of standard details and design templates.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and building regulations.
  • Attend project meetings where required to understand and interpret site-specific challenges.
