Overview:
CAD Technicians will be assigned to work with an experienced engineers and will be put in a position to draw from the experience of other experienced RoviSys CAD technicians. Individual responsibilities will be designated by the lead engineer based on the specific requirements of each project and the individual’s capabilities.
Responsibilities:

Technical Skills (60%)

• Create/edit any of the drawing types listed above under ‘summary’
• Investigate technical documentation for hardware application in system design/drawings
• Create panel layouts and electrical schematics for controls enclosures
• Self-checking of all work for accuracy
• Provide technical support for panel fabrication technicians
• Inspect completed control enclosures

Electrical Design and Configuration (40%)

• Review of electrical design and build
• Participate in design review meetings
• Works with Engineering team on electrical initiatives needed for the project Field Verification of Drawings (as required)
• Participate in point to-point-loop checks for all instrumentation
• Troubleshoot installation discrepancies
• Support customer testing
• Field verification of all drawings types listed above under ‘summary’

Qualifications:

• General knowledge of electrical circuitry, NFPA, NEC, and/or IEC codes
• Ability to recognize and offer suggestions for continued improvement within the CAD Team for efficiency and accuracy
• Associate Degree or Technical certification is a plus
