CAD TECHNICIAN – SUBSURFACE UTILITY ENGINEERING

Infrasense is currently seeking a Part-Time SUE CAD Technician to join our rapidly expanding Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) group. In this role, you will transform survey data into high-quality, accurate CAD deliverables that are in accordance with all industry and client standards. This role is critical and offers substantial opportunity to grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Convert raw survey data from multiple sources into CAD-compatible formats.
  • Produce precise SUE CAD plans in accordance with industry standards and specific State DOT standards.
  • Perform thorough QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Request, review, and integrate as-built drawings and utility records into CAD deliverables.
  • Collaborate with field crews to resolve discrepancies identified during production or QA/QC review of CAD plans.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams, meeting deadlines and project objectives.
  • Recommend improvements to CAD workflows for greater efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • High school diploma (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field a plus).
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Knowledge of utility systems, layouts, and geospatial data.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, as-built records, and maps.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
