Job Summary: As the CAD Technician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the release of customer designs to Production through tooling and process development in collaboration with Sales and Engineering

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Associate’s degree in a CAD related field such as Drafting Technology or Vocational Training/Certification (preferred)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD or similar 2D design software, familiar with SolidWorks or similar 3D design software
  • Exceptional focus on detail and dedication to precision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple organizational levels
  • Proven ability to retain technical details and processes
  • Reliable time management skills – staying organized, prioritizing, and multi-tasking as necessary
  • Strong in math and technical fields
  • Strong computer literacy in navigating Microsoft applications
  • Excellent decision making and analytical skills
  • Independent worker with the ability to work well within a small team environment
  • Knowledge of GD&T standards as it relates to drafting and specifications
Responsibilities
  • Use applicable CAD software to create and develop production level tooling that ensures new and existing products meet customers’ specifications
  • Interpret customer design drawings and CAD files in order to verify there are no dimensional discrepancies
  • Understand and implement process driven tooling requirements as provided by Sales and Engineering
  • Create and maintain documentation, files, procedures, drawings, and reports for tooling and associated processes
  • Work with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to develop dimensioned drawings for a wide variety of applications
  • Ensure tools meet the necessary safety and ergonomic requirements
