JOB SUMMARY

Wardown Engineering is a family-owned company which has been trading for over 55 years, we are a tube bending company which specialises in fluid transfer, working in all types of industries.
We are seeking a talented and motivated CAD Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans from initial concepts and designs. You will work on a variety of exciting projects, collaborating closely with our engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and quality in all documentation.

EXPERIENCE

• Professional experience as a CAD Technician
• Strong understanding of tooling design- eg. engineering principles, construction methods, manufacturing processes
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications
• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Produce precise and detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Hexagon Visi software
• Develop technical drawings for tooling and fixtures for in-house machining
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers
• Manage drawing files, maintain version control, and ensure project documentation is up to date
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve design issues
