THE OPPORTUNITY:

WSP has a new opportunity for a CAD Technician join our Drafting and Design Team on a full-time basis. As an Intermediate Drafter/Technician at WSP, you’ll be working with multi-disciplinary teams to provide technician and engineering design support on a wide variety of unique projects locally and around the world. You will be part of a global technical community of drafting, design, and BIM practitioners who collaborate, innovate, build enduring relationships, excel, and grow professionally in a robust culture of ownership. This role can be based anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area with the opportunity to work remotely using our VDI cloud environment. We’re a collaborative team with a flexible approach and we offer a wide variety of projects and cross-functional opportunities to work together.

Responsibilities:

  • You’ll be collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and consultants, understanding the requirements and incorporating those requirements into your work;
  • You’ll be providing technical 2D drafting and 3D modeling and design analysis support on a wide variety of projects collaborating with colleagues in offices around the world;
  • Preparing existing condition models based on a variety of sources including topographic surveys, aerial drone surveys, and satellite imagery;
  • Preparing technical figures for reports and engineering drawings for conceptual, tender, and construction packages;
  • You’ll be managing your own workload commitments by following an established workflow and data management process;
  • Responsible for quality assurance and control with adherence to global company standards, processes, and best practices;
  • Continuous knowledge sharing, training, and mentoring to develop your skills and develop your career;Active participant in a global technical community of like-minded practitioners.
