A cadetship combines full-time employment with paid study and on-the-job learning. As a Cadet Environmental Health Officer, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals in inspections, investigations, and public health programs while being supported through your Bachelor of Science (Environmental Health).

• Assist with inspections of food premises, public swimming pools, skin penetration premises, water systems, and more
• Support investigations into environmental complaints and public health issues
• Develop knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation applicable to the performance of the duties of this position
• Assist in implementing health programs and ensuring compliance with legislation
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and data for environmental health projects
• Participate in community education and health promotion activities
