Job Description Are you passionate about advancing structural simulation capabilities and infrastructure, contributing to the development of innovative LEGO® Bricks and injection moulds? Leverage your expertise and experience with structural FEM, material modelling of polymers, explicit simulation, and complex problem-solving. Core Responsibilities You will proactively contribute to developing new simulation capabilities that support value creation in the development of LEGO® Bricks and injection moulds. As a strong technical engineer, you will maintain, operationalize, and further develop key CAE structural capabilities, with the core responsibilities: Support the design and development of LEGO® bricks and moulds by use of structural simulations and addressing complex technical challenges. Provide expert guidance to other engineers through execution and critical interpretation of simulation results. Contribute to continuous quality assurance, validation, and improvement of CAE simulation tools. Proactively develop new simulation capabilities to create additional value. Support alignment with stakeholders to maintain consistency, quality, and value in delivered CAE services. Participate in cross-functional projects, conducting root cause analysis in response to quality challenges and more. Act as a technical leader in the CAE area by identifying improvement opportunities and serving as a role model. Maintain high visibility and strong engagement with stakeholders, driving alignment, trust, and collaboration Play your part in our team succeeding The CAE department provides simulation support to the engineering development within the LEGO Group. This includes analysis of injection moulding processes as well as analysis of the mechanical robustness and functions of both moulds and bricks. We apply agile ways of working with a strategic focus through Objectives & Key Results. It is our daily ambition to support the design of robust and efficient solutions in a cost-efficient manner based on digital prototypes. You will join the CAE Structural Simulation team working closely together with the other subteam CAE Operations (OPS). Your team is based in Billund and consists of 8 dedicated and highly skilled colleagues with a diverse set of backgrounds in terms of gender, nationality, age groups, etc. Do you have what it takes? Explicit simulation of polymers Experience with material modelling of polymers Integration of data science into simulations Strong experience with Engineering Validation and Varification You hold at least a long academic degree in a relevant engineering field and possess a broad, solid understanding of FEM and FEA. Proven experience evaluating simulation results based on underlying physics and translate FEM theory into practical simulation capabilities.
