FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a Café & Shop Supervisor to join our small, passionate team at Irish Seed Savers Association.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who’s warm, well-organised, and enjoys leading a small team in a customer-focused, values-driven setting. You’ll be working in a unique visitor centre set within a 20-acre organic farm and orchard, helping deliver a welcoming and memorable experience for all who pass through our gates.

ABOUT US

Irish Seed Savers is a non-profit organisation dedicated to conserving Ireland’s food crop heritage. Our on-site café and shop form a key part of the visitor experience—offering heritage apple trees, Irish-grown seeds, ethical gifts, books, and delicious homemade, locally sourced food.
Our mission is rooted in sustainability, biodiversity, and education—and we bring that same ethos into everything we serve and sell.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about sustainability and food heritage, with experience in either retail, food service—or ideally both.

You’ll be great for this role if you:

  • Have experience supervising or leading a small team
  • Are comfortable managing both café and shop environments
  • Have strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable personality
  • Are well-organised and enjoy taking initiative
  • Are comfortable with tills, stock systems, and general shop/café admin
  • Can work on your feet, multitask, and stay calm during busy periods
  • Have a flexible and reliable work ethic
