As a Cafe Assistant, you will be responsible for providing service excellence to our guests and clients on our day time Café. The National Army Museum welcomes visitors to learn about the Battle of Waterloo and all that being a soldier entails. The museum has fascinating military artefacts in contemporary light-filled spaces, with spectacular views of Sir John Soane’s Grade II listed stables and the Royal Chelsea Hospital. Job Type: 0h hours Contract Day time Café - Predominantly working days Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with occasional evening shifts Salary: £14.80 hourly Responsibilities: Clean and polish all cutlery and glasses/crockery for the next event Prepare all hospitality food and beverage requests offered to customers/clients/guest in designated meeting spaces in a presentable manner. To be able to work without supervision and take initiative over duties and tasks without being directed. To serve our guests with a genuine and positive demeanour. All service should be efficient and of the highest quality. To work on licensed bars serving alcoholic beverages To be able to use coffee machines Assist with deliveries as required Preparation of all hospitality requirements ensuring all items are available and if not reporting this to your line manager Ensuring that any linen hired, and equipment hired for an event is counted and packed away for collection after the event.
