Vacancy For A Café Assistant/Cook
At the Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre’s community Café based in The Old Remploy Factory. The YVC are now looking to employ a Café Assistant/Cook partly funded by a grant from The National Lottery.
This vacancy creates an exciting opportunity for the jobholder to play a major part in the continual development of our Centre Café and to be part of the wider projects we have planned for the Centre. We are therefore, looking for an enthusiastic, friendly person, who has the ability and confidence to offer excellent customer services.
The role will involve, cooking, food preparation, serving customers, cleaning tables, washing dishes. Working in unison with the Cafe Manager, the jobholder will oversee all aspects of the Café operation, therefore, Café experience would be beneficial; Level 2 Food Hygiene is desirable, a certain amount of relevant training can be provided.
What is a pre-requisite is the confidence to function effectively within a fast-paced environment, along with the ability to handle a demanding and varied workload. The person best suited for this exciting role will also be very confident in working closely with other staff, volunteers and providing excellent customer service.
The hours of work will be 20hrs each week, worked over a 4-day period, inclusive of 5-hour shifts Monday to Saturday, hours will vary. The rate of pay for the successful applicant will be £12.50 per hour.
