Audley End Miniature Railway began operating over 60 years ago with a wonderful miniature railway. In recent years it broadened its offer to attract families with children of all ages looking for a more complete and fun day out. As a member of the catering team, you are a key part to each and every customer’s experience as we strive to envelop families’ festivities.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous cafe experience/customer service experience preferred but not essential
  • Able to communicate clearly and confidently with the public and other staff members
  • Able to use own initiative, work in a team and work independently
  • Willing to develop new skills
  • Existing Food Hygiene and Safety Certification is preferred but not essential. (We can provide the training for this)
  • Driving licence isn’t necessary but location is hard to access via public transport
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

To work as part of the cafe team serving customers with the optimum level of customer service, ensuring they leave satisfied and ready to carry on their fun filled day!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Taking orders on our easy to navigate till system
  • Simple food and drink preparation
  • Replenishing stock throughout the day
  • Cleaning and tidying all cafe areas
  • Always providing excellent customer service
  • Displaying good listening skills, identifying customer needs and responding to them quickly
  • Supporting and helping colleagues with their work and getting involved in day-to-day activities as and when required
  • Showing a genuine interest in other people and willingness to help
  • Showing flexibility and willingness to meet company needs during the period of employment regarding hours, work and duties
  • Adherence to all Company policies and procedures e.g. timekeeping, absence reporting procedures etc
  • Be able to work as part of a team and individually
