IMH Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our client’s vibrant team in Oxford, OX4 on a part time basis.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food preparation. This role is essential in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food and beverages in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

DUTIES:

• Assist with the smooth operation of the community café, including serving customers.
• Prepare and serve healthy, budget-friendly breakfast and lunch options.
• Provide affordable catering packages for local clients.
• Support the day-to-day running of the community centre, ensuring an excellent service for all users.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the centre.
• Assist with activities, including setting up and dismantling equipment.
• Provide front-of-house support and handle customer enquiries in a friendly and professional manner.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

• Practical experience in a café, catering, or food service environment.
• Ability to bake/cook basic meals and serve customers confidently.
• Strong food preparation and cooking skills, with the ability to manage multiple orders.
• Good understanding of food hygiene guidelines and awareness of food allergies.
• Holder of a valid Food Hygiene or Food Safety Certificate.
• Excellent presentation skills and enthusiasm for creating healthy, sustainable, and affordable meals.
• Flexibility to adapt menus and offerings to meet community and customer needs.
• Positive, community-focused attitude and willingness to take on varied tasks.
