JOB DESCRIPTION – CAFÉ ASSISTANT

Location: Bark ’n’ Brew, Shedfield Country Stores
Position: Part-time
Reports to: Store Manager

REQUIREMENTS

• A valid Food Safety Certificate (Level 2 or above).
• Proven proficiency and confidence in a kitchen environment, with experience in food and drink preparation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a polite and friendly manner.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends and during busy periods as required.
• Previous café, hospitality, or customer service experience is desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and serve hot and cold food and drinks to a high standard.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Deliver excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and positive experience for all visitors.
• Take orders accurately and handle payments via till/EPOS system.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the café, including kitchen and seating areas.
• Support with stock rotation, replenishment, and basic ordering where required.
• Work as part of a small, friendly team to ensure smooth daily operations.
