JOB OVERVIEW

We are small, family run business, seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our café, providing exceptional customer service, while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for making amazing coffees and working with children, whilst looking to contribute to a dynamic environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
• DBS check is preferred but if you do not already have one, you must be willing to have one done.
• Experience in barista skills is a plus for our beverage service.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A friendly disposition with a customer-focused approach to service.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

• Assist in coffee Preparation & serving of food as well as ensuring all items meet quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, childrens play areas , and kitchen equipment.
• Serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Support with cafe & cleanliness during events
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers.
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for parents and children.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide assistance as needed, ensuring a positive dining experience.
