JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while assisting with food preparation and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. This position requires a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to providing exceptional service. You’ll also assist with general venue presentation and occasionally support the wider team during busy periods. This is a role that goes beyond just making coffee, preparing food — it’s about creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing your space with care, and helping customers feel at ease as the ethos of our company is to support and promote the area in which we live and community support is at the heart of everything we do.

SKILLS

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders.
  • Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • A friendly disposition with a willingness to help both customers and colleagues alike.
