Cafe Attendants create and serve food and beverage items from coffee drinks, to lattes, to sandwiches and pizzas for guests that want to dinner and take it to go. Greet guest, answer menu questions, and make menu suggestions. Obtain food and beverage orders. Prepare menu items, i.e. hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and pizzas, to established recipe and presentation standards. Serve guest order. Collect and process cash/charge. Maintain proper levels of supplies, i.e. bakery items, beverages, etc. Close out register, count bank and balance. Clean and wipe down counters, tables, chairs, floor outside seating area, etc. Fill and forward daily food and beverage supply requisitions. Maintain clean working area. Stock and keep kitchen service area organized. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Qualifications Previous Cafe Attendant; guest service and/or cash handling preferred, but not necessary While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and occasionally reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk; and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color and peripheral vision along have depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The position is indoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their on their feet.

Responsibilities

Cafe Attendants create and serve food and beverage items for guests, including coffee drinks, sandwiches, and pizzas. They are responsible for greeting guests, obtaining orders, preparing menu items, and maintaining a clean working area.
