Company Description We are looking for a Barista to join the re-opening of the famed Delano Miami Beach. Set to open its doors in early 2026, Delano Miami Beach will fuse historic charm with contemporary luxury, reflecting a reimagined experience that pays homage to the original visionary concept. Comprising 171 rooms and distinct food and beverage concepts, the hotel will preserve its iconic walk-in pool and, in addition, unveil a new pool on an amenity deck, offering breathtaking views of the ocean. Delano Miami Beach will act as the brand’s flagship location, re-establishing Delano as a trailblazer in luxury lifestyle hospitality. Job Description Under the general guidance of the Restaurant Manager, the Café Barista is responsible for the preparation and service of high-quality coffee, tea, and other café beverages, while delivering warm and engaging guest service. The Barista ensures all drinks are crafted to brand standards and maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. This role supports the smooth daily operation of the café, upholds service excellence, and contributes to creating memorable guest experiences in line with Delano Café's brand values. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages in accordance with Delano Café’s recipes and brand standards. Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized service to all guests, creating a welcoming and positive café experience. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly operated and maintained. Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and restocking supplies. Support team members by collaborating and communicating effectively to ensure smooth café operations during all shifts. Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally, escalating any concerns to the Restaurant Manager as needed. Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and food hygiene standards and policies. Participate actively in training sessions and skill development initiatives to enhance product knowledge and service quality. Assist with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and reporting shortages to management. Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and fostering open communication. Complete all required daily reports and checklists accurately and on time. Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager or supervisor to support the success of the café. We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service. We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to, on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent education required. Proven experience in coffee preparation, including espresso-based drinks, pour-over, French press, and other brewing methods. Strong knowledge of coffee bean varieties, grind settings, extraction techniques, and milk texturing to create high-quality specialty beverages. Familiarity with operating, cleaning, and maintaining espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment. Skilled in latte art and presentation to enhance the guest experience. Understanding of café workflows, including order taking, beverage preparation, and timely service during peak periods. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and proper handling of ingredients and equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, delivering friendly and personalized guest interactions. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality. Strong team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues. Physically able to stand or walk for a minimum of eight hours per shift, and capable of bending, reaching, lifting (up to 20 lbs), pushing, and pulling as required. Quick to respond to operational challenges and guest needs with a calm and efficient approach.
