The Cock and Hen, Twin Waters is looking for a qualified Chef to join our team.
We are looking for a self-motivatied, English speaking, articulate person to fill the role of Chef within our business.
Job duties include:
- Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Oversee and manage kitchen operations as requested
- Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
- Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities
- Recording of food temperature
- Assist with menu planning and development
Stock management including ordering, rotation and wastage control
Skills and experience required:
- Cert IV in Commercial Cookery
- Diploma of Hospitality Management
- Minimum of 2 years work experience as a Chef
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multifaceted kitchen operations
- Attention to detail
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
- Be versatile with a hands-on practical approach
- Strive to achieve the best at all times
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of policies and procedures in the workplace
