Our Cafe Cooks are responsible for preparing great food for our residents, staff, and guests. There is a minimum of a Food Handlers certification required but offered on site. Cooks are responsible for ensuring food preparation and storage is in accordance with all governing regulations. Our cooks are team players who are well acquainted with working in a fast paced environment, possess organization and time management skills, and are knowledgeable of food preparation and handling techniques. Schedule: Full-Time | Shifts will vary (6am-2:30pm, 8:30am-4pm, and 10:30am -7pm) | Weekend availability required Starting wage : $18+/hr based on experience Requirements Compassionately motivated about serving and celebrating seniors Act with integrity by providing exceptional meals in residents’ homes Contribute to an inclusive culture thriving on teamwork and positive attitudes Promote innovation through culinary arts programs, cooking displays, and catering events Availability on weekends, evenings, on call, & holidays Ability to communicate in verbal and written English & follow recipes 1 year of cooking experience preferred Benefits: Central Baptist Village offers full-time employees benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, flexible spending, paid vacation, paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan with employer match.
