FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a full-time Café Counter Assistant / Barista to join our artisan pastry and chocolate café in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork. You’ll be the welcoming face of the café, preparing coffees, sandwickes, serving customers, and showcasing our handmade pastries and chocolates.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and serve customers with excellent customer service
• Prepare and serve barista-style coffees, teas, and hot chocolates
• Prepare sandwickes and other savory treats
• Present pastries, cakes, and handmade chocolates attractively at the counter
• Manage takeaway, click & collect, and online orders
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
• Operate the till and process transactions accurately

Requirements

• Previous hospitality, café, barista, or retail experience preferred
• Passion for food, coffee, and customer service
• Friendly, reliable, and confident in a fast-paced café environment
• Must be available Monday to Friday, plus weekends as needed
• Flexible, punctual, and organised
• This role is not suitable for students
