Café hours: Summer (through Labor Day): 8:00am – 4:00pm, 7 days/week Fall- Spring (Labor Day through Memorial Day): 8:00am - 3:00pm, 7 days/week Work in a beautiful café setting and meet customers from all over the world at our flagship Stonewall Kitchen Café & Store! Responsibilities Include: Slice all bread, vegetables, meats and cheeses for sandwich making Prepare all house made condiments, sauces and dressings for sandwiches and salads Manage time effectively to ensure all premade sandwiches are ready for counter service Display all sandwiches with appropriate signage, color coded to meet safe serving guidelines as outlined by SWK Work with Café Line Cook to ensure all cold side dishes are ready and plated for pick-up during service Break down station at end of shift to ensure all food is dated and put away properly and create an end-of-day prep list for station Ordering and maintaining inventory of all breads Act as back-up for other Café staff positions including: - Preparing beverages, delivering food orders, and operating the cash register - Maintain cleanliness and proper stock levels of all dishware and cooking equipment by washing, sanitizing, and restocking pots, pans, utensils, silverware, glassware, and plates - Ensuring the dish station is fully supplied with necessary cleaning materials, including chemicals and trash liners - Assist with general kitchen sanitation, including cleaning equipment, floors, walls and emptying trash receptacles Follow safety policies and procedures with regard to safety, quality, sanitation, personnel, maintenance and equipment, including food safety Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays The café is open 7 days a week between the hours are 8am-4pm daily. You must have weekend availability to be considered. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of kitchen experience. Strong organizational, and time management skills. Must be computer literate. Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. on occasion, climb ladders, bend, reach, squat, kneel, twist and stand for several hours a day.
