Job Overview:
We are seeking a Cafe Kitchen Assistant to join our team in providing excellent service at our bustling cafe. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure customer satisfaction.
The role will be WEEKENDS ONLY.
Shifts:
Saturday: 08.45 - 16.45
Sunday: 08.45 - 14.45
Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation, including breakfast, sandwiches, salads, and hot drinks
- Serve customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the cafe
- Handle cash transactions accurately
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Help with stock management and replenishment
- Support the Cafe Manager in daily operations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of basic maths for handling cash transactions
- Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards
