The Cafe Line Cook must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment, and work well as a team member in a dynamic workplace and follow all safety procedures. JOB SUMMARY Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner to Stonewall Kitchen’s quality standards Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentations specifications Set-up, clean and maintain stations while practicing safety, sanitation and organizational skills• Understanding how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station Assist with controlling food costs Follow all company policies and procedures with regard to safety, quality, sanitation, personnel, maintenance and equipment, including food safety May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week periodically as business needs require along with weekends and holidays Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Previous prep/line cook experience with a minimum of 2 years of cooking experience Understanding and knowledge of professional cooking, knife handling skills, safety, sanitation and food handling procedures Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure Must be computer literate Must be creative, flexible and adaptable to change Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally, climb ladders, bend, reach, squat, kneel, twist and stand for several hours a day Open availability for shifts highly desired Stonewall Kitchen, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate orientation, national origin, veteran status, or any other category protected by law.
