JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a hands-on, highly organised, and motivated Café Manager to lead the daily operations of our café specialising in fresh coffee, made-to-order sandwiches, and in-house baked pastries. Located in the heart of Brighton, the café offers a vibrant environment where quality, service, and community are key.
This full-time role involves managing staff, driving daily sales to a target of $2,500, handling spreadsheets for profit tracking, maintaining relationships with suppliers, and assisting in light marketing and promotional tasks. Ideal for someone who thrives in an all-around role and is passionate about building a local café brand.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 2 years’ experience in café or hospitality management
• Barista skills and/or confidence in café service and food handling
• Strong knowledge of inventory, ordering, and stock management
• Proficiency with spreadsheets for basic sales and profit tracking
• Excellent communication skills with both customers and team members
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, all-rounder role
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Available to work early mornings, weekdays, and weekends
