MADEMOISELLE COLETTE SEEKS AN EXPERIENCED CAFE MANAGER FOR OUR PALO ALTO LOCATION!

Mademoiselle Colette is a woman-owned French Patisserie growing and extending our business in the Silicon Valley. We pride ourselves on providing warm friendly service and focus on the quality and freshness of our food and pastries. We use the highest quality ingredients, focusing on organic and natural products when possible. We serve breakfast and lunch, viennoiseries, pastries, delicious salads, open-faced sandwiches, fresh baked breads and coffee and espresso. We are looking for an experienced General Manager with a passion for authentic French bread, viennoiseries and pastries to join our awesome team of professionals.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The manager is responsible for ensuring a high quality of service delivery for every interaction resulting in customer satisfaction and loyalty, product excellence, and profitability. This position manages all positions in the café, including both front and back of house.

Responsibilities
  • Must be able to work on weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Customer Delight - Ensure all aspects of the customer experience provide an experience that reflects the values and culture of Mademoiselle Colette
  • Ensure store is organized, merchandise is placed properly, all areas are maintained, clean, and contribute to the overall atmosphere of the shop
  • Know your customers; create relationships, always look for opportunities to provide more value through multiple channels - catering, add-on items
  • Team Management - Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of cafe staffing current situation, needs, and plans for efficiency.
  • Prepare schedules to ensure that the cafe is staffed for all shifts
  • Interview prospective candidates for open positions and makes recommendations to the owner on a regular basis
  • Onboard new employees including partnering with HR to ensure compliance with all applicable guidelines and laws
  • Train and develop employees in all areas of service (front and back of house) with regular performance expectations and check-ins, providing engagement and inclusivity
  • Provide ongoing feedback and support to all team members to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Show strong leadership to the team by being a role model through adhering to all company policies and procedures. Holds team members accountable to the same standard of excellence.
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of all cafe areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
  • Provide support with catering orders to ensure quality, accuracy, and delivery.

    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
