We are Quest Coffee Roasters, a long established espresso bar and organic coffee roastery with a loyal community following in Burleigh Heads and the Gold Coast. We sell coffee beans and products in store, online, and wholesale. We are known for our top quality coffee, epic toasties, delicious in house baked cakes and treats, and friendly café service.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 or more years of recent experience as a day or cafe manager
  • 4 or more years experience as a barista at a fast paced cafe
  • Strong listening and verbal communication skills
  • A strong understanding of health and safety

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Australian citizen or resident with an appropriate long term visa to work in Australia
  • Availability to work at least 1 weekend day every 2nd week
  • Availability to work shifts from 5am to 2:45pm weekdays, and between hours 5am to 5pm on weekends.
  • Loves coffee and tea
  • Own transport to and from work

Responsibilities
  • Team happiness and effectiveness: Oversee training, rostering, and hiring to maintain a motivated cafe team.
  • High-quality standards: Ensure top-tier food, drink, and cleanliness standards in all operations.
  • Shift management and process improvement: Run shifts efficiently, and implement new processes to optimise workflow.
  • Inventory and vendor management: Oversee inventory, vendor relationships, and supply orders.
  • Menu profitability: Develop and maintain a profitable and appealing menu.
  • Customer experience: Continuously uplift the customer experience with a welcoming atmosphere and high service standards.
  • Barista and food handling: Participate in barista and food handling duties as needed.
  • Lead by example: Set the standard for the team and ensure high-quality work.
  • Primary point of contact: Address issues and provide updates to the operations manager.
