ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who is:

• Professionally trained in barista and specialty coffee preparation.
• Experienced in café or hospitality management.
• A confident leader with excellent people management skills.
• Patient, empathetic, and able to inspire young people.
• Knowledgeable about food hygiene, health & safety, and financial reporting.
• Committed to safeguarding and supporting the welfare of young learners.

Experience in a social enterprise or working with young people in education is desirable but not essential.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Café Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our café while training and mentoring TCW students. This is a unique opportunity to combine hospitality management with education, supporting young people as they gain real-world skills in a professional, supportive environment.

As Café Manager you will:

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring excellent service, safety, and quality.
• Manage stock, suppliers, budgets, and performance targets.
• Train and support students in barista skills, customer service, and food preparation.
• Line-manage café staff, scheduling and supervising their work.
• Build community partnerships and events to raise the café’s profile.

This role will be integral to the official launch of the Café. From shaping the menu and setting up supplier relationships, to recruiting and training staff and supporting promotion on social media, you will play a key role in establishing the café’s identity and ensuring its long-term success.
