Lead one of Shoal Bay’s busiest cafés!

Mermaids Café is a well-established, high-volume café at the heart of Shoal Bay Country Club, with a strong local following and a steady flow of visitors year-round.

We’re looking for an experienced Café Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operation, lead a team of up to 20 staff and ensure the café continues to deliver a consistently great experience for every guest.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading from the front and keeping a busy operation running smoothly. You’ll have the support of an established hospitality group while having genuine ownership of your venue.

What you’ll do

• Manage daily café operations and service flow
• Lead, train and develop a team of up to 20 staff
• Maintain high standards across food and beverage quality
• Oversee ordering, stock levels and cost control
• Drive strong customer service and guest experience
• Ensure smooth operations in a high-volume environment

What we’re looking for

• 2–3 or more years’ experience in a busy café or hospitality venue
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop teams
• Solid operational management and organisational skills
• Strong focus on customer service
• Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-energy environments

Requirements

• Valid RSA
• Availability to work weekends
