Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Cafe Milano Kitchen Commis I assists the Chefs in the day-to-day operation of Cafe Milano kitchen and helps maintain a high standard & quality of food preparation.

MAIN DUTIES/DESCRIPTION:

  1. Participates in the production of said items following the standards set by the Restaurant Chef.
  2. Plans production for the pastry department according to the needs of the Cafe Milano kitchen.
  3. Ensures the training and monitors the proper usage, maintenance and cleaning of all equipment.
  4. Ensures the requisition supplies and equipment and sees that they are delivered and properly stored.
  5. Accepts full responsibility for managing any activity in the absence of the Demi Chef de Partie in a fast-paced high-quality operation.
  6. Certified in Food Service Sanitation as available and to implement protocols.
  7. Works closely with all chefs in relation to the food.
  8. Performs other tasks or projects as assigned by the Restaurant Chef or Sous Chef.
