Position Summary: The Nest provides all day dining as well as Kiawah apparel, grocery, beer and wine. We are the one stop shop for almost anything a guest or resident may need. We provide casual, friendly service while maintaining a high level of professionalism. The retail attendant position with the assistance of managers and supervisors, is to proficiently attend to the guests’ needs with accurate and informative service. Operation of a point of sale system, responding to guest both in person and via telephone are integral to this position. Pay Rate: Compensation rates posted on external job boards are auto-generated. Kiawah Island Golf Resort determines final compensation during the hiring process; this position is eligible for tips. Qualifications: • Minimum Education – Currently in school working towards graduation, have already received a high school diploma or GED • Minimum Experience - 6 months prior retail experience with a similar retail establishment preferred. • For grocery delivery, must have a valid S.C. Driver’s License. • Ability to complete monetary transactions correctly. • Must be able work both independently as well in a team environment. • Good to excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written. • Employee must be able to make good decisions with confidential information regarding events and guests of Kiawah Island Golf Resort. • Must be able to pass a background check. Essential Physical Requirements: • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds across short-medium distance. • Must be able to work on site due in person sales force and guest interaction. • Must be able to stand for entirety of shift, bending, stretching, and lifting. • Must be able to properly and effectively communicate with guests, in person and via phone.
