About the Shift Lead Position Bean Sprouts is looking for a dependable and enthusiastic shift leader with a passion for the Bean Sprouts culture and customer experience. As the Bean in Charge (our title for our Shift Lead position), you uphold Bean Sprouts' mission (philosoPEA) and HIPP core values, ensure each guest has a top-notch Bean Sprouts Experience, and drive sales. The Bean in Charge is responsible for assisting with the smooth running of the cafe's day to day operations. This includes leadership in people management, operations, food & beverages, health & hygiene, as well as compliance with all corporate procedures and government regulations. Above all, our Bean in Charge should be a shining example of Bean Sprouts' HIPP core values of Health, Innovation, Positivity, and Playfulness! Shift Lead Responsibilities: Coaches, supports, and recognizes Bean Team Members by providing performance feedback and sharing performance information with Bean Leader. Follows and communicates Bean Sprouts policies, practices, and standards, and ensures that standard operating procedures are followed at all times. Creates a healthy, innovative, positive, and playful work environment in alliance with Bean Sprouts' core values. Leads by example in adhering to all legal compliance and café policies in an ethical manner. Ensures that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to Bean Sprouts café's recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards. Requirements Enjoy a playful work environment and be comfortable interacting with kids. Flexible work schedule including weekends and some holidays. 1 to 3 years of restaurant experience with strong commitment to customer service. 1 year of supervisory experience preferred. ServSafe or equivalent food handlers permit. The physical requirements for this position are bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 pounds, and being able to stand for 4 to 8 hours with or without accommodation.
